Every Mother On Mother's Day

You, yes you. You have a nourishing instinct. You have a desire to care. You have a dream in your heart for children. You are a mother.

This mother's day looks a little different for me this year. Last year I was pregnant with Kanaan and celebrating the joys that were coming with his arrival. This mother's day I grieve that he doesn't get to be here. I honor the fact that I still get to mother him in many different ways and I long for the day I get to see him again even more. It saddens me that this mother's day is not what it should have been. There will never be a perfect mother's day till heaven. I choose to bring heaven down on this day. It draws me closer to my children and brings comfort and honor that no other person can. In this blog, I want to honor the mothers like me, but also all the other types of mothers.

"To those who gave birth this year to their first child—we celebrate with you.

To those who lost a child this year – we mourn with you.

To those who are in the trenches with little ones every day and wear the badge of food stains – we appreciate you.

To those who experienced a loss this year through miscarriage, failed adoptions, or running away — we mourn with you.

To those who walk the hard path of infertility, fraught with pokes, prods, tears, and disappointment – we walk with you. Forgive us when we say foolish things. We don’t mean to make this harder than it is.

To those who are foster moms, mentor moms, and spiritual moms – we need you.

To those who have warm & close relationships with your children – we celebrate with you.

To those who have disappointment, heartache, & distance with your children – we sit with you

To those who lost their mothers this year – we grieve with you.

To those who experienced abuse at the hands of your own mother – we acknowledge your experience.

To those who lived through driving tests, medical tests, and the overall testing of motherhood – we are better for having you in our midst.

To those who will have emptier nests in the upcoming year – we grieve & rejoice with you

And to those who are pregnant with new life, both expected & surprising – we anticipate with you.

This Mother’s Day, we walk with you. Mothering is not for the faint of heart and we have real warriors in our midst. We remember you."

May, 8, 2022. Mother's Day. I want all women to be honored.

The mothers with children here on earth, the mothers without their children (gone too soon from still birth, infant loss, or miscarriage), the mothers who are expecting a child, the mothers who have foster or adopted children or are still waiting to, the mothers who long to receive that first pregnancy test and start a family of their own, the mothers who have had medical procedures or diagnoses that prevent them from having their own children, the mothers who have passed away, the mothers who have pets as their children, and the ladies who are nurturing to all those around them. You are simply amazing. Beautiful. Strong.

You Are Qualified To Be A Mom

You have unconditional love for your children already, whether they are here on earth, in heaven, or yet to come. God has created you especially to love and nurture. According to (yourdicftionary.com), a mother means: to act as a mother, relate to being a mother, being the source, and the title of a woman respected for her wisdom and age. Ladies you matter. You are needed and you are deeply loved. Without women in this world, we loose many pieces that are so important and needed. Creativity, nourishment, wisdom, caring, support, empathy, and so much more. Some mothers mentor others. Some mothers have children here on Earth and some have children in Heaven. Some mothers are waiting still, for their desire of a child or children to be fulfilled. Some mothers have raised children and now see generations grow up. Some mothers are a mother to those that never had one, or were like a mother to them. Some mothers give wisdom and guidance in life.

This day is your day. Cry, laugh, sleep, eat, adventure, spend some time alone or spend time with others, shop, be in nature, and do whatever you helps you. There are no limits. Do what comforts you, relaxes you, or brings you joy. Its okay to not know how to feel if you don't have children here with you. Don't let anyone put expectations on you. God is the only one who really knows what you need on this day. Be gentle and give yourself grace. God's grace is enough for you. Happy Mother's Day beautiful one. Take a moment and meditate on a verse that speaks to you.

Proverbs 31

A Wife of Noble Character

10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. 11 Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

13 She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. 14 She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.

16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. 18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night.

19 Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. 20 She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. 21 She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm[c] clothes.

22 She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. 23 Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. 24 She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. 26 When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. 27 She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.

28 Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: 29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. 31 Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
